    • NOTE: Cards are accepted in lieu of statement of attainment certificates providing they show the relevant statement of attainment unit of competency as well as all other necessary information relating to applicant details and RTO details
    • NOTE: Temporary / Interim statement of attainment evidence not accepted

    For an RMS/ Safework issued card:

    • The applicants name shown on the card needs to match the applicants registered name in Onsite
    • Must be issued by Roads & Maritime Services (RMS)**

    **From 1 July 2020, Traffic Control cards will no longer be issued by Transport for NSW (formerly RMS). They will be issued by SafeWork NSW and will be called a Traffic Control Work Training Card. RMS issued cards are still valid / can be accepted until the card expiry but following on from that contractors will supply Safework issued card.

    • Cards from RMS Accepted:
      • Containing "Traffic Controller” OR TCR – Traffic Controller
    • Either black and white or colour copies of certification is accepted
    • Only the front of the card needs to be displayed in uploaded file

    For an interim RMS/ Safework issued certificate:

    • Interim Certificate can be accepted for this competency in lieu of card (Interim certificate is a Statement of completion)
    • The applicants name shown on the card needs to match the applicants registered name in Onsite
    • Statement of completion is valid exchange for Card, however only valid for 90 days
    • Matching competency title to be listed having been achieved on certificate
    • Certificate is to be issued by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
    • Either black and white or colour copies of certification is accepted

    NOTE: If not issued by Roads & Maritime Services (RMS) / Safework it will need to be escalated to Site for approval.

  • Issue date = date of completion
  • Expiry =  3 years from date of completion (This is required regardless of whether statement of attainment or card has been uploaded)

    For Statement of Attainment or Transcript:

    • Record the Issue date within Onsite as follows:
      • Completion date / Training Date - if listed on certificate (this date is always used when displayed)
      • Issue date - If only an issue date is listed please enter this as the issue date
    • Expiry date not required








    For an RMS/ Safework issued card:

    • The Issue date does not need to be recorded in Onsite
      • Expiry date to be entered IF displayed on card*

      Will not be shown on the new Safework Licences but WILL be shown on the old RMS cards.





    For an interim RMS/ Safework issued certificate:

    • The issue date should be recorded as the date of completion / date of application
    • The expiry date must be recorded in Onsite - Expiry date is calculated to be 90 days from the date of completion / date of application
