This registration will advise that they have had their overseas qualifications assessed and have completed the formal process assessment program required to work in Australia

  • Actual copy of certificate / degree is required. Letters are not accepted in lieu of this.
  • Completion date or issue date must be displayed

NOTE: International Medical Practitioners – need to provide their registration from the Medical Board of Australia which will advise the type of the registration (i.e. Limited; Provisional or General Registration).  This registration will advise that they have had their overseas qualifications assessed and have completed the formal process assessment program required to work in Australia.  International medical qualification/s will still also need to be provided.

Yellow Card
Applicants name to be shown on document and must match cardholders registered name in Onsite (however shortened versions of first names such as 'Chris' for 'Christopher' is acceptable)
A yellow card must be uploaded (no other medical records or results are to be uploaded)
The Date of birth on the card to match the registered DOB on the system
Must be clear and legible
Must be current

NOTE: old site access cards that have medical expiry date referenced but do not explicitly show they are issued by an actual medical provider are not acceptable

AND

Face-Fit
Applicants name to be shown on document and must match cardholders registered name in Onsite (however shortened versions of first names such as 'Chris' for 'Christopher' is acceptable)
Document must indicate that the respirator tested is "Full Face"
Fit Test Report or Sure Fit card are acceptable
Must be current. Note that Fit tests last two years from the test date.

Issue date = The date of the most recently completed 'Spirometry' Component – this will be either the Pre/Post Spirometry date or the Updated Spirometry date.


If the card provided is branded “JOBFIT”, the issue date to reference is the Yellow Card LFT


Expiry date calculations =

Yellow Medical cards expire 6 months from issue date UNLESS an earlier spirometry review is mentioned in the conditions.
Face-Fit Tests expire 2 years from the test date.

The expiration date to be recorded against the competency is whichever of the two expiration dates occurs first.

Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR)

 PAPR are permitted for use at BSL only if:

  • There is a medical or religious reason preventing the person from wearing a tight-fitting negative pressure respirator; or
  • A person cannot successfully pass a respirator face fit approved for negative respiratory protection; or
  • Deemed the most appropriate respiratory protection as per risk assessment (i.e. JHA or Level 2 RA)

PAPR must be approved for use on site as per Respiratory Protection HSE Standard

Face-Fit not required for Yellow card if Site Access PAPR approval is completed
