  • Applicants name on the document must match name in the system (however shortened versions such as 'Chris' for 'Christopher' are acceptable)
  • Samples of Accepted document types:

    • Completion of Apprenticeship
    • Certificate III
    • Certificate of Completion of Training for 'Indenture of Apprenticeship'

  • Samples of Accepted Course Titles / Coding:
    • Automotive (Heavy Vehicle Mechanical / Industrial)
    • Automotive Mechanical Technology (Heavy Vehicle Equipment)
    • Engineering - Mechanic Mining or Diesel Heavy Earth Moving
    • Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Diesel Fitting)
    • Engineering Mechanical Trade (Maintenance - Diesel Fitting)
    • Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Maintenance) - Diesel Fitting Pathway
    • Heavy Vehicle Fitting
    • Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology 
    • AUR31120 and AUR31220  (Or any previous superseded equivalent course codes shown against the mapping of this course on training.gov.au)
  • Must be an Australian or New Zealand (ANZCO) issued qualification
    • If qualification is issued outside of Australia and New Zealand, skills assessment by assessing authorities is required to ensure the qualification aligns appropriately to Australian standards

    • ALL overseas qualifications require both the overseas qualification and the Trade Recognition Australia Migration skills assessment document confirming the Australian equivalent qualification.  
  • Black and white or colour acceptable

  • Must be clearly scanned and legible

  • Issue Date = Date of completion
  • Expiry Date = No expiry date to be entered

Mechanical.Trade.Qualification - Mechanical Fitting
  • Applicants name on the document must match name in the system (however shortened versions such as 'Chris' for 'Christopher' are acceptable)
  • Samples of Accepted document types:
    • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
    • Completion of Apprenticeship
    • Certificate III
    • Certificate of Completion of Training for 'Indenture of Apprenticeship'
    • Certificate of Completion / Certificate of Qualification
    • Certificate of Proficiency
    • Completion of Trade
    • Trade Certificate
    • Practitioner’s Licence (issued by Department of Justice)
  • Samples of Accepted Course Titles / Coding:
    • Engineering - Mechanical Trade
    • Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitting/machining)
    • Engineering Tradesperson (Mechanical / Fitting)
    • Diesel Fitting 
    • Diesel Fitting (Pathway) 
    • Mechanical Fitter
    • Mechanical Trade (Maintenance) - Fitting and / or Turning Pathway
    • Fitter and Turner or Mechanical
    • Fitter and Machinist
    • MEM30219 (Or any previous superseded equivalent course codes shown against the mapping of this course on training.gov.au)
    • 'Engineering Mechanical Trade' wording is acceptable providing above course code (or earlier instance) is also shown on the evidence

    • Higher Engineering Trade

Note: Practitioner’s Licences are not required to quote the type of trade

  • Must be an Australian or New Zealand (ANZCO) issued qualification
    • If qualification is issued outside of Australia and New Zealand, skills assessment by assessing authorities is required to ensure the qualification aligns appropriately to Australian standards 
    • ALL overseas qualifications require both the overseas qualification and the Trade Recognition Australia Migration skills assessment document confirming the Australian equivalent qualification.

    • Certificate of Proficiency
    • Completion of Trade
    • Trade Certificate
  • Samples of Accepted Course Titles / Coding:
    • Engineering – Metal Machinist
    • Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitting/machining)
    • Engineering – Mechanical (first class machinist)
    • Metal Fitter and Machinist
    • Engineering - Mechanical Trade
    • MEM30219-03 (Or any previous superseded equivalent course codes shown against the mapping of this course on gov.au)
    • 'Engineering Mechanical Trade' wording is acceptable providing above course code (or earlier instance) is also shown on the evidence (academic transcript)
    • Higher Engineering Trade

    • Certificate of Completion of Training for 'Indenture of Apprenticeship'
    • Certificate of Completion / Certificate of Qualification
    • Certificate of Proficiency
    • Completion of Trade
    • Trade Certificate
  • Samples of Accepted Course Titles / Coding:
    • Trade Certificate III in Engineering- Motor Mechanic 
    • Trade Certificate III in Engineering- Diesel Motor Mechanic
    • Trade Certificate III in Engineering- Motorcycle Mechanic
    • Trade Certificate III in Engineering - Small Engine Mechanic
    • Trade Certificate III in Engineering - Light Vehicle Mechanic

OR

Completion of Apprenticeship in any of the above fields as a Motor Mechanic

  • Must be an Australian or New Zealand (ANZCO) issued qualification
    • If qualification is issued outside of Australia and New Zealand, skills assessment by assessing authorities is required to ensure the qualification aligns appropriately to Australian standards
