Whitehaven Business Rules | Letter of Competency

• Name on letter to match cardholders name in Onsite
• Letter must be dated

The letter of competency provided by the employer of a contractor must include the following:

• the name of the person deemed competent, and
• the name of the employer or company, and
• the basis on which the employer or company has deemed the person competent, and
• the time the person deemed competent has worked for the company, and
• the time the person deemed competent has performed the skill, and
• the name, position and original signature of the person writing the letter on behalf of the employer or company

Note: Where the role/occupation on the LOC is listed as "inexperienced mine worker/operator". The company must state, "We deem him/her competent to perform inexperienced operator duties and will provide the necessary training to perform the role safely".

• Date on letter must be no older than 3 months prior to the date of data application submission
   
• Issue date to be recorded in Onsite
