Health & Safety.Permit to Work.Authorized Climber

 

The Authorized Climber/Rescuer course is a 2-day program that will teach new and experienced climbers how to climb safely, descend with various descent tools and perform rescues. The class is designed to meet OSHA regulations and addresses applicable ANSI standards and equipment needed to meet those standards.

  • Applicant's name should be displayed on the evidence and should match the name registered in the system (however shortened versions of names such as 'Chris' for 'Christopher' is acceptable). Pegasus Administrators to click here for additional information before verifying

  • Certificate
    Refresher Training

  • Evidence must give indication that the worker is an authorized or competent Climber/Rescuer

  • If company name is listed on certification it must match the company it is being uploaded for

  • Colour copy or black and white copy is acceptable

  • Issue Date = Date of Training Completion

  • Expiry Date = 2 years from issue date

This is regardless of whether a differing validity is displayed.

 

Health & Safety.Permit to Work.SPRAT Level 1

SPRAT Level 1 Rope Access Worker course teaches the basic skills required to work safely on a two-rope system and prepares for the SPRAT Evaluation.

 

 

  • Issue Date = Date of Training Completion

  • Expiry Date = 3 years from issue date

This is regardless of whether a differing validity is displayed.

 

 

Health & Safety.Permit to Work.Competent Climber /Rescue

 

An individual designated by the employer who, by training, knowledge, and experience is capable of the implementation, supervision, and monitoring of the employer’s fall protection rescue program.

  • Certificate
    Refresher Training

  • Evidence must state completion of Competent Climber /Rescue

  • Evidence showing Authorized climber cannot be accepted. Authorized Climber and Competent Climber are two different certifications

  • If company name is listed on certification it must match the company it is being uploaded for

  • Colour copy or black and white copy is acceptable

  • Issue Date = Date of Training Completion

  • Expiry Date = 2 years from issue date

Working at Height.Certificate.Fall Protection

  • Acceptable evidence can be in the form of:

    • Certificate

    • Refresher Training

    • Safety Meeting/Toolbox Talk

  • Course name must include the words ‘Fall Protection’. Samples of acceptable course names include (but are not limited to):

    • Construction - Fall Protection

    • Fall Protection Awareness

    • Rooftop Fall Protection for Non-Climbers

Working at Height.Familiarisation.Scaffold Safety

OSHA Reference: General Industry 29 CFR 1926.454

(a) The employer shall have each employee who performs work while on a scaffold trained by a person qualified in the subject matter to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards. The training shall include the following areas, as applicable: (a)(1) The nature of any electrical hazards, fall hazards and falling object hazards in the work area; (a)(2) The correct procedures for dealing with electrical hazards and for erecting, maintaining, and disassembling the fall protection systems and falling object protection systems being used; (a)(3) The proper use of the scaffold, and the proper handling of materials on the scaffold (a)(4) The maximum intended load and the load-carrying capacities of the scaffolds used; and (a)(5) Any other pertinent requirements of this subpart.

This section supplements and clarifies the requirements of 1926.21(b)(2) as these relate to the hazards of work on scaffolds.

  • Evidence must state completion of 'Scaffold’ related course ideally with reference to OSHA Reference: General Industry 29 CFR 1926.454

  • Issue Date = Date of completion

  • Expiry Date = As specified on the evidence. If not specified: Input expiry as 3 years from date of completion
