Occupational Noise Exposure - Conservation and Audiometric Testing

OSHA Reference: General Industry 29 CFR 1910.95 (g) (6) "Annual audiogram." At least annually after obtaining the baseline audiogram, the employer shall obtain a new audiogram for each employee exposed at or above an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels. IF this remains, maybe only request a Letter from the Audiometric Testing Facility verifying this. Otherwise, this could be private/HIPPA related. (l) Access to Information and Training Materials (1) The employer shall make available to affected employees or their representatives copies of this standard and shall also post a copy in the workplace. (2) The employer shall provide to affected employees any informational materials pertaining to the standard that are supplied to the employer by the Assistant Secretary. (3) The employer shall provide, upon request, all materials related to the employer’s training and education program pertaining to this standard to the Assistant Secretary and the Director.

The following OSHA regulations are applicable to construction hot work: 1926 Subpart J - Welding and Cutting; 1926.350 - Gas Welding and Cutting; 1926.351 - Arc Welding and Cutting; 1926.352 - Fire Prevention; 1926.353 - Ventilation and Protection in Welding, Cutting, and Heating; 1926.354 - Welding, Cutting, and Heating in Way of Preservative Coatings.
