Health & Safety.Permit to Work.OSHA 10

OSHA 10-hour training teaches basic safety and health information to entry-level workers in construction and general industry. It is part of the OSHA Outreach Training Program, which explains serious workplace hazards, workers' rights, employer responsibilities and how to file an OSHA complaint.

  • Applicant's name should be displayed on the evidence and should match the name registered in the system (however shortened versions of names such as 'Chris' for 'Christopher' is acceptable). Pegasus Administrators to click here for additional information before verifying

  • Training documentation can be in the form of a:

    • Card

    • Certificate

    • Refresher Training

  • Evidence must state completion of OSHA 10 Hour

  • Colour copy or black and white copy is acceptable

NOTE: OSHA 30 is considered a higher-level course than OSHA 10; OSHA 30 encompasses all the same topics as OSHA 10 therefore can be accepted in its place

Issue Date = Date of completion

Expiry Date = Not Required

The OSHA 30 Hour Construction Industry Training course is a comprehensive safety program designed for anyone involved in the industry. Specifically devised for safety directors, foremen, and field supervisors; the program provides complete information on OSHA compliance issues.

  • Training documentation can be in the form of a:

    • Card

    • Certificate

    • Refresher Training

  • Evidence must state completion of OSHA 30 Hour

  • Colour copy or black and white copy is acceptable

Health & Safety.Awareness.Tool Safety

In the absence of applicable training requirements for a particular work activity, hazardous substance, tool or piece of equipment or machinery, employers are encouraged to refer to manufacturers’ recommendations for safety training, where available, as well as those listed in applicable voluntary consensus standards.

The training documentation uploaded should be dated within the past 12 months.

Acceptable training documentation should include the following:

  • Subject/Topic of the Training

  • Instructor Name

  • Employee Name

  • Employee Signature

  • Date


Training documentation can be in the form of a:

  • Certificate Safety Meeting

  • Toolbox Talk

  • Refresher Training

Issue Date = Date of completion

Expiry Date = 12 months from issue date

Health & Safety.Awareness.Heat / Cold Stress Safety

The training documentation uploaded should be dated within the past 12 months.

Documents showing completion of ‘Heat Stress Awareness Training’ or ‘Cold Stress Prevention’ are accepted

Acceptable training documentation should include the following:

Subject/Topic of the Training
Instructor Name
Employee Name
Employee Signature
Date

Issue Date = Date of completion

Expiry Date = 12 months from issue date

Health & Safety.Awareness.Hand Safety

Review common hand hazards, hand injuries and methods to minimize or eliminate hand injuries.

The training documentation uploaded should be dated within the past 12 months.

Acceptable training documentation should include the following:

  • Subject/Topic of the Training

  • Instructor Name

  • Employee Name

  • Employee Signature

  • Date

Training documentation can be in the form of a:

  • Certificate Safety Meeting

  • Toolbox Talk

  • Refresher Training

Issue Date = Date of completion

Expiry Date = 12 months from issue date

Fire Fighting.Familiarisation.Fire Extinguisher Safety

(g) Training and education (1) Where the employer has provided portable fire extinguishers for employee use in the workplace, the employer shall also provide an educational program to familiarize employees with the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage firefighting. (2) The employer shall provide the education required in paragraph (g)(1) of this section upon initial employment and at least annually thereafter. (3) The employer shall provide employees who have been designated to use fire fighting equipment as part of an emergency action plan with training in the use of the appropriate equipment. (4) The employer shall provide the training required in paragraph (g)(3) of this section upon initial assignment to the designated group of employees and at least annually thereafter.

  • Applicant's name should be displayed on the evidence and should match the name registered in the system (however shortened versions of names such as 'Chris' for 'Christopher' is acceptable). Pegasus Administrators to click here for additional information before verifying

  • Acceptable evidence can be in the form of:

    • Certificate

    • Refresher Training

    • Safety Meeting/Toolbox Talk

  • Evidence must state completion of knife safety related training course

  • Colour copy or black and white copy is acceptable

  • Issue Date = Date of completion

  • Expiry Date = Input expiry as 3 years from date of completion

Health & Safety.Familiarisation.Personal Protective Equipment
