SafeWork NSW - Traffic Controller Card 

NOTE: From 1 July 2020, Traffic Control cards are issued by SafeWork NSW.  RMS issued cards are no longer valid and can no longer be accepted.
 
For a SafeWork NSW Card: 

• Applicants name displayed on card must match applicants registered name 
• Must be issued by SafeWork NSW 
• Card must state ‘Traffic Controller’ 
• Black and white or coloured copy of evidence can be accepted 
• Must be clear and legible 

NOTE: Interim documents such as Confirmation Traffic Control Work Training Card and Statement of Completion for Traffic Control Work Training showing the relevant class can be accepted for a period of 60 days from the date of letter issuance

• Issue date to recorded as issue date listed on card 
• No expiry date is required to be recorded

• Must be issued by SafeWork NSW 
• Card must state ‘Prepare a work zone traffic management plan’ 
• Black and white or coloured copy of evidence can be accepted 
• Must be clear and legible 

NOTE: Interim documents such as Confirmation Traffic Control Work Training Card and Statement of Completion for Traffic Control Work Training showing the relevant class can be accepted for a period of 60 days from the date of letter issuance
