Basic - Safe Working in the Plant (COM108)

This competency forms part of the E&I Technician Competency Program to become a competent and skilled E&I technician across the maintenance tasks relevant to the plant.

Exemption Process:

An exemption may be granted for a training competency requirement listed in the Training Matrices for an  employee or contractor. Exemptions shall be applied only after careful consideration and risk assessment. Yara Employee applications for training exemptions shall be approved by the relevant Department Manager. Contractor applications for training exemptions shall be approved by the relevant Yara Responsible Person.

To be deemed valid the request shall be:

  1. Documented on Yara’s Training & Competency Exemption Form [TRG-YP-FRM-125-09]
  2. Participant details to match applicant
  3. Course Code and Title to match
  4. Shall be ‘approved’
  5. Issue date: Use date of issue
  6. Expire date: As listed on the form
  7. Shall have approver role, name and signature.
