  • Only require front of licence as mandatory

Screenshot of digital drivers licence for NSW is an accepted form of evidence providing the following information is displayed in the screenshot:

  • Clear photo of the applicant
  • Applicants first and last name
  • Date of Birth
  • Licence Number
  • Expiry date
  • Matching licence class must be displayed

Drivers Licence receipt can be accepted as a form of evidence providing the following information is displayed in the screenshot:

  • Applicants first and last name
  • Date of Birth
  • Licence Number
  • Expiry date
  • Matching licence class must be displayed

NOTE: Rio Tinto will accept drivers licence receipt evidence for the licence validity duration as opposed to only accepting this for the interim length of time mentioned on the receipt evidence

  • If the higher licence type is uploaded this is accepted eg: LR greater than C. MR greater than LR & C , HR greater then MR ,LR & C, HC is greater than C, LR, MR, HR and  MC greater than C, LR, MR,MC , HR & HC

For Driving Roles

For Internationally issued drivers licences that have been issued in English language:

  • The applicants name that is listed on the licence must match the applicants name as it has been entered into Pegasus Workforce
  • The uploaded file must show an overseas issued drivers licence and display matching class/es of vehicle that the applicant intends on driving on site
  • Applicant must be a temporary overseas visitor
  • Licence must be current / active

For Internationally issued drivers licences that have been issued in non-English language:

  • The applicants name that is listed on the licence must match the applicants name as it has been entered into the Pegasus Workforce
  • The uploaded file must include: A copy of the overseas issued drivers licence and display matching class/es of vehicle that the applicant intends on driving on site with one of the following additional supporting documents:
  1. An English Translation document that has been issued by a NAATI approved agency in Australia.

OR

  1. An or an International Driving Permit (IDP) that shows "Convention on International Road Traffic of 19 September, 1949"
  • Licence must be current / active UNLESS it is being used for


When used for Proof of ID competency ONLY and competency is not used within any driving roles

  • The applicants name that is listed on the licence must match the applicants name as it has been entered into Onsite Track Easy
  • Photo to match person
  • Date of Birth (DOB) to match applicants DOB in Onsite (if there is one displayed on the evidence)
  • Must be current
  • Black and White OR Colour copy is acceptable
  • Scanned document to be clearly legible

For Driving Roles

  • Issue Date = Not required to be entered into the Pegasus Workforce
  • Expiry Date = The expiry date that is shown on the licence must always be recorded in Pegasus Workforce UNLESS an IDP has been included within the uploaded file.

If the IDP has been included within the file upload, the expiry date against this competency would be recorded as either the licence expiry date OR the IDP expiry date (calculated to be 12 months from issue date) – The earliest expiry date must be recorded. 


When used for Proof of ID competency ONLY and competency is not used within any driving roles

Shortened versions of first names are accepted, such as:
"Chris" instead of "Christopher"
"Wil" instead of "William"

Shortened versions of last names are accepted, such as:
"Herrera" instead of "Herrera Trujillo"
"Mohd" instead of "Raza Hasan Mohd"

  • The following evidence can be accepted:

    • RTAY Recognition of Prior Competency

    • Rio Tinto Record of Completion

    • Progress Report

    • Theory Assessment or Site Authorisation
      All assessment pages within upload
      Matching competency name and code (if with checkbox, this should be completed)
      Current licence number and expiry date
      Applicant's signature and signed date
      Assessor's complete name, signature, and date
      Must show that the person is competent and authorised to operate

NOTE:

  • If Site Authorisation, the RCC Assessment or CTO Assessment section must be completed

  • If Theory Assessment, when RCC is completed, the authorised leader is required to verify with a signature that the applicant is authorised to operate

  • The learning and development section of the form does not need to be completed

  • If the higher licence type is uploaded this is accepted eg: LR greater than Light vehicle Car. MR greater than LR, HR greater then MR 

Issue date = If a certificate has been provided, use the course completion date as issue date. If Theory Assessment or Site Authorisation, use the assessor's signature date.

Expiry date = 2 years from issue date

      Current licence number and expiry date must be completed
      Applicant's signature and signed date must be completed
      Assessor's complete name, signature, and date must be completed
      Must show that the person is competent (C) and authorised to operate

Issue date =Date signed off by the trainer / assessor

Expiry date = 2 years from issue date
