Medical.Assessment.Industry medical | - Worker role not involved in the process or extraction of coal or otherwise engaged in the mining process may provide an pre-employment or fitness for work medical conducted by an Australian medical practitioner.
- Medicals must correctly reflect the worker's personnel details.
Example: Rail industry medical, Transport worker medical, Generic pre-employment medical from an allied health services provider such as Sonic Health / Humanomics. | Issue Date = Date of examination Expiry Date = 3 years (unless Order43 medical stated earlier follow up review is required)

Medical.Assessment.Order 43 Medical Form OR Medical.Assessment.Site Access | - All workers must complete Order 43 medicals to ensure the Order 43 requirement is met
- Order 43 medicals must be conducted by Coal board approved medical practitioner.
We will accept: - The full medical report; or
- An extract of assessment report containing patient details, assessment date, Review date, doctor’s determination and restrictions or recommendations.
- Contracting company must ensure Order 43 medicals have been forwarded to Coal Service for compliance check
- Contracting company must ensure workers meet the Order 43 legislative requirements – including requirements for Periodic Medical Assessment and Pre-Placement Medical Assessment. Random selection of audits will occur to ensure contractors meet the Order 43 compliance

Medical.Assessment.Industry medical / Medical.Assessment.Order 43 Medical Form OR Medical.Assessment.Site Access | IF AMBER PROCEDURE: If the medical is marked as ‘AMBER’ or ‘RED’, AND Employer actions section “Is the Employer required to take any action as part of the follow up?” is marked as ‘YES’ – a Medical Management Plan (MMP) will also need to be supplied with the medical Medical Management Plan is not required for the restriction of wearing prescription glasses Medical management plan must: - Be presented on a company letterhead
- The medical has been approved by a senior company representative and must be signed by a senior company representative, e.g. supervisor, HR representative, return to work coordinator and also the worker must sign.
- The employee is fit for duty to perform tasks whilst on the Malabar site under the medical restriction.
- MMP must address the recommendations from the Doctor
- State that the employee’s medical has been approved by the company
- Be dated within the last 3 months
- Must be uploaded as a PDF
