Construction Business Rules | Cross Yarra Partnership | Verification of Competencies

There are THREE different forms of documentation which can be accepted for this competency  

 When RTO issued VOC is uploaded:

• Applicants name to be displayed on the Verification of Competency (VOC) document. 
•  The competency must be indicated on the Verification of Competency (VOC) as it is shown in this competency title – If there is a mismatch with regard to the competency naming used on the VOC compared to what is displayed as the competency title in Onsite, Pegasus will seek CYP site approval for the document.
• VOCs showing higher qualification can be accepted (e.g. VOC for Intermediate Scaffolding can be accepted for the competency CYP-VOC-Scaffolding-Basic)
• Assessment must have been conducted by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
  NOTE: Holmesglen Institute is accepted by CYP
• The issuing RTO must hold the correct authority to deliver that unit of competence.The competence can be just the course it does need to stipulate that a VOC is delivered  The authority to deliver the VOC training can be determined by checking to see if there is a matching unit of competency shown on the RTOs scope. This can be checked here: https://training.gov.au/Search/SearchOrganisation 
• The VOC will need to be authorised and approved by CYP prior to being uploaded. CYP will audit, sign and date these VOCs and then the Subcontractor will upload this authorised copy.
• Authorisation to include:  
  • • • Must be signed by either: Rodney Maine, Shakira Walit and Joshua Colman 
      • Must be dated 
      • May be in the form of a stamp or hand written. Either is acceptable. 

When CYP VOC (on CYP Paperwork): 

• Applicants name to be displayed on the Verification of Competency (VOC) document. 
•  The competency must be indicated on the Verification of Competency (VOC) as it is shown in this competency title – If there is a mismatch with regard to the competency naming used on the VOC compared to what is displayed as the competency title in Onsite, Pegasus will seek CYP site approval for the document. 
• VOC results must be completed and signed off 

When Subcontractor or Company Representative issued VOC is uploaded:

• Any VOC that is assessed by the Subcontractor themselves or representative of will need to be authorised and approved by CYP prior to being uploaded. CYP will audit, sign and date these VOCs and then the Subcontractor will upload this authorised copy.
• Authorisation to include:  
  • • • Must be signed by either: Rodney Maine, Shakira Walit and Joshua Colman
      • Must be dated 
      • Must state that it is approved by CYP
      • May be in the form of a stamp or hand written. Either is acceptable.

Please note VOC documents (card or certificate) issued by 'Your Licence' are accepted. 

Also ACCEPTED (interim certs)

• A letter issued from Holmesglen the course code is to match that of the competency 
• Attendance record for the listed course from RTO

Forms of Evidence that ARE NOT Accepted:

• High Risk Work Licences
• Statement of Attainment

• Date of assessment to be recorded as Issue date within Onsite 

If only a month and year is displayed: The issue date will need to be the first day of the month

• For non-interim evidence: 2 year expiration date form date of assessment to be calculated as expiry date and recorded within Onsite
  • Note: Even if the evidence has an expiry date listed that is greater than 2 years, CYP require this evidence to have an expiry date of 2 years from the Issue Date.
• For interim evidence: Expiry is to be entered 60 days from course completion

For supplied evidence from "Jonmaur Holdings Independent training organisation" RTO:

• Issue Date = To be recorded as the date listed in "Date" box (under "Date of Expiry" box) and NOT to be recorded as date listed in "Date of Issue" box
