External.Qualified.EXT085 Dangerous Goods Security Card Under the SSAN Regulations, this competency is required PRIOR to gaining UNSUPERVISED SSAN ACCESS to the TAN PLANT. This means if you a required to work without constant Yara supervision within the TAN Plant you will require this competency. Note: The applicant may apply for an exemption to this requirement. Approval of exemption is subject to Yara PIlbara's discretion. Refer to the Dangerous Goods Security Card Exemption competency for requirements. |
Most workers will supply the Western Australian issued state-based card however Interstate Security Clearance cards may also be accepted (refer to Note 1 below)
Note 1: Interstate security clearances issued under the following legislation may be accepted to be recognised as a security clearance in Western Australia:
Note 2: Maritime Security Identification Cards (MSIC) and Aviation Security Identity Cards (ASIC) are not recognised and holders of such cards must still obtain a dangerous goods security card for unsupervised access to explosives or security sensitive ammonium nitrate (SSAN), or hold an equivalent security clearance. | Issue date = Not required since there is not one displayed on the card Expiry date = to be entered as displayed on the card | |
External.Exemption.INT037 Dangerous Goods Security Card Exemption A Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC) exemption may be granted to an individual who • has a limited site visit of 28 days or less and will be attending the site four times or less in a twelve-month period. • Has applied for a DGSC and not yet received the card. This exemption is valid for a maximum of 90 days. Exemptions of this kind shall be determined on a case-by-case basis and requires the approval of a Yara Site Manager. This approval can be obtained using the Site Access Request Form |
