Traffic Management.Competency Card.NSW RMS Traffic Control Card | For an RMS issued card: - The applicants name shown on the card needs to match the applicants registered name in Onsite
- Must be issued by NSW Roads & Maritime Services (RMS)**
**From 1 July 2020, Traffic Control cards will no longer be issued by Transport for NSW (formerly RMS). They will be issued by SafeWork NSW and will be called a Traffic Control Work Training Card. RMS issued cards are still valid / can be accepted until the card expiry but following on from that contractors will supply Safework issued card. Cards from RMS/ Safework Accepted: Containing "Traffic Controller" or TCR – Traffic Controller Containing "Apply Traffic Control Plans" or Containing "Implement Traffic Control Plans" or IMP – Implement Traffic Control Plans - Either black and white or colour copies of certification is accepted
For an interim certificate: - Interim Certificate can be accepted for this competency in lieu of card (Interim certificate is a Statement of completion)
- The applicants name shown on the card needs to match the applicants registered name in Onsite
- Statement of completion is valid exchange for Card, however only valid for 90 days
- Implement Traffic Control Guidance Plan (RIISS00041) *NSW Only*Â to be listed on certificate
- Certificate is to be issued by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
- Either black and white or colour copies of certification is accepted
NOTE: If not issued by NSW Roads & Maritime Services (RMS) / Safework NSW it will need to be escalated to Site for approval.
Please note; the certified document that has been issued by the Registered Training Organisation (RTO)** must meet the following requirements to be approved:
| For an RMS/ Safework issued card:
- The Issue date does not need to be recorded in Onsite
NOTE: Safework cards do NOT expire. No expiry date is required for these cards. For an interim certificate: - The issue date should be recorded as the date of completion / date of application
- The expiry date must be recorded in Onsite - Expiry date is calculated to be 90 days from the date of completion / date of application

Traffic Management.Certificate.Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plan - RIIWD503A |  - Applicants name must be shown on the document
- Applicants name on document to match applicants name in Onsite (However shortened first names such as 'Chris' for 'Christopher' are accepted)
- Document uploaded to this competency could be a statement of attainment or a card showing completion of a statement of attainment unit of competency for Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plan - RIIWD503A
- Must be issued by a registered training organisation (RTO)
For an RMS issued card: - The applicants name shown on the card needs to match the applicants registered name in Onsite

- Document uploaded to this competency could be a statement of attainment or a card showing completion of a statement of attainment unit of competency RIIWHS205D - Control Traffic with stop-slow bat
- Must be issued by a registered training organisation (RTO)

Containing "Implement Traffic Management Plan" or IMP – Implement Traffic Control Plans and can include "RIIWHS205D Control Traffic with Stop-Slow Bat"  or just show Traffic Control - Either black and white or colour copies of certification is accepted
For an interim certificate: - Interim Certificate can be accepted for this competency
- The applicants name shown on the card needs to match the applicants registered name in Onsite
For a certificate: - A Certificate can be accepted for this competency in lieu of card (Interim certificate is a Statement of completion/ attainment)
- The applicants name shown on the card needs to match the applicants registered name in Onsite
- Statement of completion/attainment is valid exchange for Card.
- Implement Traffic Management Plan (RIIWHS302D) to be listed on certificate
- and can include "RIIWHS205D Control Traffic with Stop-Slow Bat"
- Certificate is to be issued by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
- Colour copies of certification only accepted
- An expiry date is required to be recorded for this competency and has to have a validity within 3 years

Upload Requirements For an RIIWHS302D issued card or certificate: - The Issue date does need to be recorded in Onsite as this will outline that there is a valid 3 years
- The expiry date should be recorded as the date which is calculated to be 3 years from the date of training
For an interim certificate: - The issue date should be recorded as the date of completion / date of application
- The expiry date must be recorded in Onsite - Expiry date is calculated to be 90 days from the date of completion / date of application
